RBD COCONUT OIL

RBD Coconut Oil stands for “Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized Coconut Oil.” It is a type of coconut oil that undergoes a refining process to remove impurities and enhance its qualities. The process involves bleaching to remove color, filtering to eliminate particles, and deodorizing to get rid of the distinctive coconut aroma. RBD coconut oil is often used in cooking, beauty products, and various industries due to its neutral taste, high smoke point, and longer shelf life compared to unrefined coconut oil.

How is RBD Coconut Oil Produced?

RBD oil is crafted from copra (dried white coconut meat or kernel) and goes through a comprehensive manufacturing process. Due to the unrefined nature of the crude oil extracted from copra, various solvents and extraction techniques are employed to eliminate impurities like dirt, dust, bacteria, fungi, microbes, insects, and other contaminants.

Following extraction, the oil undergoes a bleaching and filtering process before being subjected to high temperatures. This heat not only eliminates contaminants but also eradicates the distinctive odor originating from the oil’s source. The final outcome is a coconut oil product that is both tasteless and odorless, having undergone thorough refinement while retaining much of its nutritional oil content.
